Default exhaust burps?

Why does my exhaust burp or pop when I press the clutch or hit the accelerator after engine braking? It is kind of a pop/burp/burble noise. I think that it has to do with the backpressure being relieved but I am not sure. Sorry such a stupid question I just was always wondering.

Any SES codes. Some will say it's normal, could also be smog pump or ignition related (would probably show an SES). With everything else working properly, I'd say it's the spark plug gap. Only time mine has done that is when the spark plug gaps were too large. Can check the gaps for any out of spec. & if all are the same, try reducing the gap .005" @ a time. For example if .060" reduce to .055"....etc..
