Kooks 1 3/4 + catted y install details?
I am about to do a Kooks header install using the
Kooks catted y-pipe, going into the SLP dual dual
system. The car is a 2000SS. suspension not lowered.
I was looking for installation hints/tips etc. or a description
(difficulties I miht run into etc.) for this system but could only
find similar system installs doing a search.
I heard the wheels need to be up about 15" in front to be able to fit?
Notching the K-member necessary? Lifting the motor?
Removing steering linkage? etc. etc.
Any help would be appreciated - I will do all the work myself
although working on exhaust components is my least favorite area...

I've installed both Kooks 1 3/4 headers as well as Kooks 1 3/4 stepped 1 7/8 headers, and I'll say the 1 3/4 went in w/o an issue, nothing needed to be pulled out(not even the oil filter). Stepped headers were a different story.
However I did my install on a drive on lift both times.
