Mac Ceramic Coated Headers
http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...94ddcbce5448c7
Well i think i finally decided on some headers that i want within a reasonable price......atleast close to.
Anyone have any luck with the these. I dont really want to spend over 600 or 700 $, but i need somthing with excellent ground clearance, and somthing that doesn hit the bottom of the car. I want headers, but im going to be driving 90 miles a day round trip to school, so i want somthing that will give a noticable difference, hold up well, if they hit the bottom of the car, or rattle i will go insane, and also they need to have good ground clearnance because i kind of want to lower the car a bit too.
Also, has anyone seen these headers with the coating for cheaper than the price at ws6project?
Thanks for any input.

2Slow, The only ground clearance you will gain over a longtube is not with the header itself but rather the pipe that runs off of the header. Most longtubes have the collector very close to the floor of the car. So close in some cases the pipe coming off the header needs to be bent down slightly to clear the underbody.
If that Y pipe is 2.5" then figure on gaining 1/2" of clearance over a longtube with a 3" y pipe coming off of it. If you are running the Pacesetter y pipe then you probably wont gain any clearance at all because that y pipe has frame clearance areas on the pipe making it the highest tucking y pipe you can buy in a 3".

Well i dunno if id say macs arent worth it as I def noticed a difference with mine and I can drive around town like normal, pretty much zero ground clearance loss. However, if you are stock ride height and your gonna do a lot of modding int he future id say get a pair of ceramic coated pacsetters, you can usually find them for a little under $400 when on a group purchase, then an ory is only like another $100 bucks or so, so you could have them for around $500. I like my macs but in the future im probably gonna swap mine out for some pacesetters or maybe some kooks as my z28 is no longer my daily driver. Either way you will notice a difference, whether you go with the macs or LT's. Just stay the hell away from SLP LT's as they give you zwero ground clearance. My buddy had a pair and they were god awful, scraped them on everything. Hope that helps and good luck with your decision!

That's the exact kit that I bought for $800. I put my T/A on the dyno right after they were installed without a tune and picked up 12 RWHP. It sounds better too. The shop didn't have any problems installing them.
I'm just letting you know of my experience with the Macs.
