Default y-pipe,cut-out or catback

Hey guys wanted some opinions or suggestions on which to get first. Car is stock except lid and filter want to free up the exhaust now. I've heard catbacks are good for the nice rumble and all but im thinking a less restrictive y pipe and cut-out might show better gains. I.m open to doing either, thanx.

y pipe doesn't really gain anything..not to mention if you ever go lt headers...u'll lost out on how much you spent on it. How much money do you have?

I disagree if you go with an off road y pipe and cutout you will pick up around 20-30 at the wheels. I dropped .3 in the 1/8 just by redoing the stock y pipe with mandrel bends 2 1/4 into a flowmaster y pipe, then a cutout

A new Y on the stock manifolds will not do much if at all. Wait to change the Y after you get some LT's. I would just stick with a catback for now. If you are planning on getting headers in the future then go with the Magnaflow or Hooker. If no LT's are in the future go with the Loudmouth I or II.

Y-pipe will gain you nothing. Wait to do headers for a Y-pipe. Catback is a small gain. Do a cut out.

I would go with the cat back. Just like the others have stated already, the Y pipe will do nothing. If you have a large Y pipe and small piping after that, what good does it do to flow that much more exhaust thru the Y when it is going to be restricted again after the Y? With a catback, you will have the sound and a nice gain. Good luck with your decision.

Thanx for the suggestions guys....sounds like I'll wait on y pipe till headers later on down the road and go with cat back then a cut-out.
