Default Opinions on prothane poly motor mounts?

I am just wondering how the poly motor mounts from prothane are. Such as vibrations or anything else. These would be for a 98 z28.

Why would you do only one side?

I would think you would do both. Think about it. If you do the drivers side to keep it from raising up. Why would you not do the passenger side to keep it from rocking down?
Doing one side sounds stupid. It would make one side stiffer than the other.

The engine will torque to the driver side. Plus the for the driver side you only have to remove the alternator. The passenger side you have to remove the a/c and possibly the starter. Pass. side is more of a PITA. I haven't done either yet, just gathered from information I've read. If you have y-pipe banging the driver side poly mount will most likely clear it up because the engine won't torque to that side. It's kind of a band-aid. If it were me I would do both sides, I don't like halfway doing something, even if it takes more work.

What about for the cammed guys? My motor shakes like mad, and I'd like to stop it, but I don't want the entire car to shake like that, either.

Opinions?

Poly mounts will let the motor shake less but
only because more of the shake is transferred
to the car body. The heavier body will move
less than the motor alone, but you will feel it
where you wouldn't on bungy mounts.

I have them on both sides. I initially noticed a
little more idle shake inside the cabin but soon
got used to it. My motor is all stock though, so
only the occasional idle miss for engine shake.

Go ahead and do both. If your car has any miles on it and you've driven it hard, there's a good chance your motor mounts are worn out.

Both of mine were.

Anywho, two words... DO IT!
