Default y pipe question

can u put a y pipe on trans am with out headers?? i dont have headers just the stock menafolds with a hooker cat-back

you can't put a normal y-pipe on your. stock headers because they are used with long tubes. you might be able to get a y-pipe and fab it up to make it fit. just save some money up and get the y-pipe and a set of pacesetters for cheap. If you are tight on money look in the for sale section, there are people always selling their exhaust system.
