Default Who has this setup: LT's,ORY, and Loudmouth?

I am going to install my Kooks LT's, Kooks Ory, and Loudmouth this weekend. I have been hearing from people that it is going to be way too loud. I really like loud cars, but that this setup has an unbearable sound. Are they right, or does it sound good? Can I have your opinion on this, from owners as well as people who have heard this setup. Thanks in advance!!!

search man, a lot of people had this setup. My buddy had it on his TA, too loud for me, rasp was ungodly from about 1800-2100. He switched it out with a dual/dual and a cutout. LT+ORY+LM=RASP RASP RASP!

Whoever has/gets that setup has to be deaf and has got to be pissing anyone within a mile radius off. If you want loud, but not ungodly loud, go with a GMMG, IMO.

I have LMII with longtubes and ory. I is very loud. Sounds good at idle and it sounds good until you get on the gas or get to around 2000. I like loud cars too, but this does not even sound close to good. I don't have the $ for a new cat-back so I am looking for a way to make it bearable. Some people have suggested puting a Borla xr-1 muffler in it's place. I am about to start a thread for the people that have BorlaMouth to see if it really helps or not. Unless you just like your car to sound like a Z-71 with glasspacks you will not like the sound. I am just glad cops around my town don't write tickets for loud cars.

My buddy had lt, ory, loudmouth on his car for a while and it was really loud. It sounded like a real beast but since cops in his area arent found of loud cars he had to put a muffler on it. If you plan on listening to music in your car i would get another cat back or a muffler to put on it because you wont be able to hear it over your exaust not to mention talk to the person next to you.

Get a different catback. The Loudmouth sounds alright with the stock manifolds and y-pipe, but is really raspy, very loud and sounds like **** with LTs and an off-road y-pipe. I prefer the Magnaflow stainless-steel catbacks because they look great, are one of the best flowing systems on the market, and the price is real nice too.

So the LMII is loud? Louder than running a TR224/112LSA through LT/ORY/cutout? Because that is where we are at...

I was thinking about something to make it a little more subtle though, so is a LM a consideration?

I was considering just swapping in a Magnaflow muffler, since we want to keep the CME exhaust tips...

I have mac mids, ory and lm and I love it. I havent ehard another car that sounds like mine in my area. It just sounds plain evil. I believe the LMII is more oy a dynomouth suet-up, with a bullet muffler instead of a resonator like the original Lm like I have. If you like loud then your not gonna find a better set-up. Some people say too much rasp but I love it. Cant wait to hear it with my fm13 next spring!

Ok... I had this exact setup besides the brand of headers. Driving around town is fine. Low RPM's is not bad at all. When you get on it, yes it is Nascar style but just normal grandma driving is no big deal at all. Anyone who says for a daily driver is bad, their just pussies. Go with it and have fun!

Mine is a DD and you can hear music, you can hear others in the car, etc... The only times it is really loud is at cold start or WOT. Try to find a setup like it around your area before you make up your mind against it. Ill also try to find some of my in-car vids for ya.

Thanks for the info so far. I have everything all ready to install. I am just going to do it , and go from there. Maybe swap a Borla xr-1 if it's to loud. Is the sound in the cabin that horrible that you can't hear music or the person next to you???

Ok first off SEARCH dammit. Only about a million people have or have had this setup. It will be loud and raspy BUT you have a few options to solve that. You can either put a dynomax bullet preferably 18in like I have and it will help quite a bit. Ive yet to have anyone say it didnt sound good. Or you could put an XR1 in there or a Sweet Thunder and they'd both help quite a bit. Any of these can be done and will make it sound good.

Just save yourself some money and run open headers if you're planning on that combo...

If you can wait until Saturday night I'll have some vids of my car with Edelbrock LT's, ORY, and LM on my new 408 setup.

Is it the loudness or the quality of sound that sucks. I have thundermouth and I always wondered if it would sound good with LT and ORY.

I think it is both, I just put that system on my car and actually fired it up for the first time in 3 years amd it was way to loud. At an idle its bearable, but as soon as you go down the road it becomes obnoxious. I will definately be swaping in some kind of resonator for it. It basically sounds like open headers.
