Im gettin ready to go outta town anyways I bought a WS6 and it has these ugly exhaust tips like those tips u see on trucks that are like cowboy cut the long slash cuts, They look like **** all rusted, bent, etc. Should I just cut em and just dump my exhaust till i can afford new ones? you should get new tips, and an electric cut-out.... cut-out's sound meaner than hell, basically bypasses your mufflers, but then at the push of a button it goes back to the mufflers.... pretty sweet.... congrats on your new ls1

What are your plans for the car? If you plan on changing the the exaust, I would say just chop those tips off for now, then get a cat-back or true duals down the road. I would hold of for the cut-outs if you plan on changing the y-pipe sometime later. No point of doing things twice.

Cut the tips off until you can afford a decent catback exhaust. See Texas Speed & Performance's "Rumbler" for a cheap, quality unit. ---->

Yes, cut them off for now, it won't sound any different. Save up and replace it with a good system...but be prepared for change....you may not like your first choice...or even the second choice. Good luck!!
