Default Why does my alternator keep going out??????

last time my alternator went out, i had to replace the regulator, now whenever i stomp on it, the voltage goes down in the red(like 9-10 volts) then comes back up, but sometimes it just stays in the red. DO i just have a bad alternator or what?

Yea, its something you'll have to get used to changing out. I've still got scars from putting a new one on my T/A a few months ago.

Bad / weak tensioner?? Belt? A supposedly "known good"
alternator should not have a dip in output when you rev it,
unless the belt is slipping, IMO.
FWIW, I'm still on the original Alt. (knock on wood)
