Default WTF is wrong with my damn raptor shift lite!!!!

SOB.....I got my raptor shift lite in today and hooked everything up, tested out perfect. I hop in the car to try it out.....nothing.

What happens is this....you turn the ignition on and the lite flashes letting you know it's ready, hooked up, whatever. After you turn the key off and on a few times, it will quit working, and you have to remove the ground, and reinstall it, and it will work again for a few more times

What is the deal, everytime I take it off, and then touch it right back by hand, it will work, but after a few times of off and on while it is secured....it loses ground, and it has to be "reset"....this is ridiculas.....any ideas???

Where did you ground it? and what is your power source? Are you sure you've got good connections on both?

I grounded mine to the frame of the car whereever it shows on installuniversity.com and used the power from my headunit. I can't think of why it'd be messing up the way your describing unless one of your connections isn't solid.

My damn raptor light goes through its initialization but will never light up at its specified RPM. I guess it is garbage. :-\

At first I used the same power and ground as my window switch.....the ground kept doing that ****, so I have tried two other places.....but those weren't actually the chassis. Maybe I need a better ground???

My guess would be a bad ground. Make sure you find somewhere to ground it to the chassis. Also, take a wire brush or sandpaper to the grounding area to ensure a clean surface.

do you have the light set for the right # of cylinders? if the cylinders are off then it will not light up at the specified RPM... I know cuz i set mine wrong the first time i took it out

if i remember correctly, for an LS1 it should be set to 4cyl

Ok, I got a for sure good ground, but thing is, after carefully looking at the instructions for the cylinder selection, and yes, I knew it was suppose to be on 4 cyl. Anyhow....I just looked at the pic of the 3 switches, which were just the opposite in color as the real thing....so I had it backwards....damnit, all this time. I happened to see where it said the switches were in BLACK, where as I was assuming the switch was the white area....like the actual color of the switch...I guess that's what I get for thinking.

Yeah, and the door thing....that seems to be right on as well, so I had a few things off.

So on to the good stuff...I LOVE it.....wish I had of gotten one sooner.....works great, super brite, and looks sweet.

Thanks for the help fellas.
