Default Alternatives to welding my entire exhaust together.

I have a small exhaust leak from where my hooker lt's connect w/ the y-pipe collector. Sometimes under boost because the stock clamps aren't holding so good sometimes the leak is enough to prevent any boost from occuring. I heard about V-band clamps to hold my setup together, anyone on here use those clamps for their setup? Are the worth it? I'm looking for an alternative to welding.

Use a Thick soft copper gasket at the flange. That should eliminate the leaking.
