Default Kooks 1 3/4 w/ 3 Cutouts?

Right now I have Kooks 1 3/4 to Kooks ORY Pipe to SLP D/D through SLP CME. That will not change as the CME is something I really like, and the cost of a custom dual setup to keep it would be around $1200-1500 I believe. Right now I have a cutout right around the passenger seats. Would there be any benefit to cutouts right after the headers in the y pipe?

Depends on the size of the engine.

Just current setup, no change in anything else. 346 with the mods you see.

The single cut out should be sufficient.

Thanks. I was afraid that there would not be enough back pressure at that point with 2 at the headers.

Backpressure is not the issue (for power/racing applications, less is better- all backpressure does is give you a crippled tq peak available lower in the rev range which makes you feel like you're going faster around town). Inconvenience due to to loss of ground clearance is more of an issue. I've had both setups, one in the I pipe is all you need.

3 ***** = Good and needed!

3 Cutouts = Well nah!

The single I pipe is more than fine for 346ci.
