Default What is the best way to repair stripped spark plug threads?

like the title say's, what are my option's. BTW,this is on an aluminum head.

You have to re-tep the hole. And be gentle putting the plug back in.

Helicoil kit...hopefully you will have enough room to get it done without removing the head,the passenger is tuff.

Thanks for all the reply’s, This is for a 1.6 liter mazda that my brother had installed heads on but someone had tightened the sparkplug too tight, There is no way I would let this happed to my AFR head's..

Or you could take it to a local machine shop, if you don't feel comfortable...

Either way, be gentle and use anti-seize when installing the plugs next time
