Default Car running horrible after header install

I installed Long Tube headers along with a y pipe. Put everything together and the car ran fine.. I didnt get on it because i also installed a new spec stage 3 clutch so i was taking it easy while that was breaking in. Ive put about 200 miles on the car so far without any problems, although the car has very strong gas smell from the exhaust... not leaking any fuel just probably the tune is off.

So today when i was driving i got a flashing SES light and the car is running horrible. I know that means mulitple misfires. Feels strange.. the car feels like its shaking and it sounds different too. I checked the plugs they were good. They are new NGK 55s. I made sure the spark plug cap clicked twice so those are on there well. The headers didnt melt any of the spark plug wires neither there is plenty of room. So im kinda out of ideas.

I have HP tuners and did log it multiple misfires.. I just didnt have a chance to log each cylinder. Any other ideas ? Could the tune be dumping in too much fuel ?

Sounds like ur having problems with your 02's. Check to make sure the 02 wires are tied back enough so they're not touching the headers.

I got brand new o2s for the front the Bosch Rear vette o2s.. I deleted my rear o2 sensors. The wires arent near the headers.

i would tack on spark plugs to that list if the o2s arent bad, you could have cracked one putting the headers on

Can you use rear O2 sensors for the front? I thought you had to buy front sensors for the front and rear sensors for the rear.

They're the same thing, just longer wires in some cases.

i think i had the same problem as you do when i first put mine in. i had the ngk tr55 as well but got them from a friend with an lt1 and he had them gapped to 35 ( i think) just check your gap make sure it is right..i bought new one and gapped them to 50 i think and now it is fine.. i also removed my AIR system and it made the car run better since i have no cats

If it's shaking with a flashing ses the chances are you have a cylinder out - best to try to isolate which either with HP tuners or look at the plugs or ground the wires one at a time, then you can work that problem.

inspect the plug wires as well, headers dont create misfires

easy to do when headers take some force getting in.

Yep and it only takes one little bump on the ceramic to crack it.
