Default Honing ATI Balancer???

I just purchased an ATI balancer that I will be running with my procharger kit. I was wondering if anyone else has had to hone out their balancer to fit the crank or if it was within tolerance.

Umm.. that would be a bad idea. It's made to be a press on fit.

No it is designed to be a interferance fit. I would pin it as well if you are going to be using it in a forced induction application.

Everything is good to go now but I couldn't get it started even far enough to press it on by tightening down the bolt. I heated up the hub a little bit and that expanded it enough to get it started so I could press it on with the crank bolt. Everything worked great I just didn't want to mess up my new balancer. I did key the crank, the kit that ATI supplied was excellent and worked great for me
