QTP headers are STAINLESS and will last longer than coating ever will. No coating needed. The new ones come with HVMC's and are polished

Unless they make steel ones that i'm not familiar with, in this case, yes you would need coating.

They are made from 304 stainless steel. No coating is necessary.

I think QTP only sells stainless steel headers.
If so, no need to have them coated

They are stainless. You don't need them coated. They will bronze up once they start getting hot, but wont rust. You got a bad *** deal, got them polished and w/ the HVMC. You wont be dissapointed in performance, fitment, or quality.

You don't need to coat them to protect the metal but coating S.S. headers will reduce the heat in the engine compartment. I got S.S. headers but didn't spend the money coating them.

I agree. They are stainless steel, and bad@$$. I miss mine. I will have to jump on the next GP. Don' t get them coated. Ran them for a couple months and there was good clearance around everything. Didn' t even come close to burning a spark plug wire, or anything else for that matter.

They have a new price

They now come with HVMC for the price they used to without them. They don't even sell them without HVMC anymore.
