Default Any place to get longer crank pulley bolt locally?

I ordered a March pulley along with everything else for my cam swap a long time ago. Long story short, due to march's incompetance, and their total lack of customer service, I just got my pulley today. Since the cam swap is long over, the radiator and fans are on the car. I got the old pulley off again, but the new one's not going on without a longer bolt.

When I put my stock pulley back on during the cam swap, I just hit it with a rubber mallet a few times to seat it. The problem is there isn't enough room between the pulley and the fans to do it this time. I need a longer crank pulley bolt, but I don't want to order one online. Is there any place locally that might sell them? I tried one hardware store in San Jose a few months ago, but they laughed my right out of the store when I asked for an M16 bolt.

I got mine from a hardware store. Bring your stock bolt in and match the threads up.

Just go to a few places, and you should be able to find one.

Another idea - stick the pulley in the oven on 350* for about 15 minutes. When you remove it, the hole should've expanded enough to slip it on fairly easily.

was it on a stand or did you need to talk to a parts clerk to get it? I haven't been to a Napa in a while, but I've been to Checkers, Kragens, and Auto Zone a ton and can't remember seeing a bolt that big on a rack.

I thought about that as well, but it's a fluid filled damper, and I dont' know how smart it would be to stick it in the oven. I know the fluid wont evaporate, but I don't want to chemically alter the fluid inside. If it's engine oil, it would probably break down at that temp, etc.

Also, I'm not too comfortable taking something that's supposed to be so precise and heating it up enough to change the dimensions of it, then spinning it up to 6700RPM.

this will work very easily... just put it in a 210* since that is what the motor temp is anyways.... mine slid right on with oven mits

recipe
1 underdrive pulley
set oven at 210*
and bake for 20 minutes (or until golden brown )

My local auto parts stores and home improvement stores didn't have one long enough. I was lucky enough to talk to the guy at the home improvement store that told me a local bolt shop to go to....If you are really hard up I'll sell you my longer one for the shipping cost from 97404

Update:

Rode bike 6 miles to nearest NAPA, no bolt
Got flat tire within 200 yards after leaving NAPA
Walked 6 miles home
Walked to nearest Kragens, no bolt
Walked to nearest Auto Zone, no bolt
Walked to nearest Ace Hardware, no bolt
Walked to nearest Pep Boys, no bolt
Referred to Copper State Nuts and Bolts
Called them, no bolt
Referred to Copper State Nuts and Bolts main location
Called them, they don't pick up
Caught a ride and drive 25 minutes to get there, no bolt
Came home exhausted and ready to throw a chair through a wall
Put pulley in oven, doesn't work
Called March, they told me to drive the car to dealership for installation
Put pulley in boiling water, doesn't work

As you can see this pulley is more hassle than it's worth and I officially hate March and their stupid, crappy customer service, and their total ineptness at doing anything correct. P.S., I hate March, I hope they go out of business.

well March also told me they include instructions in the box, hell the even told me that they would send me a working pulley, and send it to me in a reasonable amount of time. I wouldn't exactly trust anything they say, especially after their customer service representative told me today that the LS1 doesn't have a crank pulley bolt, the pulley just needs to be pressed on with a shop press. I've received two pulleys from them, and both bolts were the standard GM crank pulley bolt. They're the same size as the old one, they even come in the original GM packaging.
