Default QTP headers are a work of art!

I just recieved my set of QTP 1 3/4 "race" headers along with their dual cutout y pipe. First, I must say how happy I am with the headers. I haven't even begun to install them, but damn is all I can say. I have personally owned Hooker, SLP, and installed PPC headers before, and they can not even compare to the quality of my QTP headers! The welds are as good as they get, there is hardly any extra weld left inside the headers, and the polishing job is very nice as well. The y pipe does need a little more attention to detail, but overall it looks pretty good. My only complaint is that QTP forget to include the nuts, bolts, and caps for the cutouts as well as instructions, which they are taking care of. Other than that I am impressed with my new goodies.

I too can vouch for their superior fit and finish. The welds are excellent and they bling so much it makes rappers jealous.

They do like like a very nice piece. I picked my set up a few weeks ago. Of course, my perfectionist mechanic/racer did some grinding on the welds and flash on the inside a bit to clean things up. Hoping to get them installed after I flycut my pistons. I hate having parts wait for me!

I am not trying to bash, but for the price of these you could buy two sets of edelbrocks that are the same thing.

Edelbrock are coated mild steel and from what a couple posted on here there fitment didnt fit well. ANd there coating flaked off in a couple of weeks. Also QTP have a nicer merge collector with a smoother transistion and the collector is welded with an O2 bung installed. The Edelbrocks dont.

Where are these threads at? Fitment was as easy as any other header. There were no issues. The coating is great as well, and I don't see it flaking any time. I don't like the transistion of the HVMC on the QTPs that is the main reason I went with Edelbrocks. I don't like welded collectors either. Too easy for it to leak at a weld. Slip fits don't leak.

I think you posted the main reason in your first post in this thread.

I would never be able to put those headers on my car, I'd rather just hang 'em on the wall.
