Default Granitelli MAF: Worth it?

Will I see any gains with a Granitelli MAF? Is it worth paying 100 bucks? I have almost every other bolt on...

Thanks!

You would probably gain more by going speed density than adding a bigger MAF. But if you don't wana go SD then yes it will gain over the stock one. i have one and like it. but will soon be going SD after i get a cam.

I had one before I went to an SD tune and don't think it was worth a dime. It'll throw your tune off unless you recalibrate it with your car's mods.

If you feel your car is a little too strong, then install a Granatelli on it. Those trhings are a real POS. Everyone I know that had one, ended up taking it off due to issues. The stock MAF is good to 550 fwhp. A tune will net you real, safe, and positive gains. The Granatelli will not. How they can keep selling those things is beyond me.

Don't buy a Grantelli or any other maf...

Keep the stock one or go speed density. The stock one is good up the 550 hp. Plenty.

For what its worth: My car is pushing over 500 rwhp through a stock mass air flow sensor.

p.s.- Don't buy the aftermarket ends that bolt on your stock maf. It throws of the calibration. The maf is the one OEM part that I wouldn't upgrade.

Is that all there is to it? Just remove maf and get a SD tune. I need to retune anyway. Do you gain any hp, or is it just because it's easier to tune that way?
