I would recommend the K&N part# 2006 oil filter. Its the longer (truck) model, so it has a little more capacity and will provide you with a little boost in pressure. The K&N filters are going to run you about $11, but they kick ***.
Plus they have a 1" nut on the bottom for easy removal

why is having more capacity in the filter better, isnt the motor where the oil matters so how is it helping if u can put an extra little bit in the filter?

I noticed a boost in my oil pressure when I switched out. I should have said "filtration capacity". PLUS, there is more room to put the filtered out BS with a bigger filter

ok i can understand the filtration capacity but the oil pressure was prolly due to a better flowng filter not so much the size but i supose i think im gonna use the napa gold tho i think its cheaper and alot of people seem to like it

You can get the napa gold for a truck application LS type engine and still have the benefits of a long filter. I think the AC # is PF58 or 59, just get the napa equivalent.
I've used the M1 long and currently use the K&N long, both excellent filters, but the nut on the K&N hangs below the oil pan. My car is stock height, not a huge worry, but still looks kind of iffy.

This is why i gave the exhaust analogy in my 2nd post.
Nearly everyone on here likes the long filters for the reasons i mentioned. Some dont like them due to the fact they hang lower, but i dont run over too many stumps in my car on a regular basis, so i don't worry too much.
I ran the fram filters for a long time thinking a filter is a filter untill i started reading this board. If the search feature was working, you could probably find alot more evidence as to why you need to switch. People have reportedly opened the frams up and found a lovely cardboard medium. I always liked them because of the easy-grip coating the put on the end
