Default cfm ?

does anyone know the cfm flow of a 3 inch vs a 3.5 inch straight pipe?

Some quick calculations tell me 3" is only about 73.4% of 3.5" if you happen to have the rates for one or the other

does exhaust piping work on a ratio/portion bases, if it does i have the figures for a 2 inch pipe and can gather the info for that.

i figured it out. this is a rough estimate, depending on exhaust length but its 115 cfm per sqaure inch. by my calculations a 3 inch pipe = 800 cfm. which is about where i need to be.

It works on cross sectional area of the pipe.

You can figure the area of 2" pipe, then divide it by the area of a 3" pipe, multiply by 100, and you get the percentage the 2" will flow compared to a 3".
