I wouldn't invest in them until you go to a H/C package or bigger build...

I have seen cars go 8s with the stock coil packs so I don't think you need them.

You don't need them even with heads/cam or even forced induction. They are a waste of money, unless you want them just for looks. $600 for red coil packs is not money well spent in my book.

Too many people are running big horsepower numbers with the stock ones. Leave them alone and put that money elsewhere.

The stock coil packs work great. Spend the money on something else.

I am skeptical too. Here is the proof that we would need.

Engine dyno with and without the MSD packs with all other things equal

Efficiency with and without.

All of the advertisments leave us hanging. You get to the end of the sales pitch on these little jewels and it says "notice the second electrical connector, there is something else in the works from MSD"
perhaps this something else will revolutionize coil on cylinder design. Probably not but I'm deffinatly gonna hold on to my money till they are worth it if ever

They're just an expensive appearance item. The stockers work fine, but if I had nothing else to blow $$ on, I'd consider them just because they look pretty good.

I agree with everyone on keeping the stock ones. There is a lot of other things I can use that money on!

I have also seen cars in the 9 with stock bottom end so why do you need a forged one? Since when is something working good enough a legitimate reason for keeping something. I have only seen two threads on these. Both if i recall said there was a drivability improvement. If there was definate proof that these things dont work then post it. If there is definate proof that they work, post it. I am most likely going to buy these, waste of money or not and i will post what happens.

I knew there was going to be somebody that was gonna argue. There always is. Show me one LSX powered car that needs these! I am not saying they are a waste of money, but for $600 your money can be spent elsewhere. They are not needed!

I believe Casper went 6s in the quarter with the stockers. Camnhawk went 8s on motor. Jugger went 10.29 cam only. Magnus went 10.99 stock internals.

Out of all the things you could buy for your car, I'd say these are the biggest waste of money. $600 for a smoother idle??? The stock ignition system is about as good as it get's, and is overkill for even the faster cars. This is one mod I'll never understand. If I was looking for bling, I'd rather spend it on new wheels.

Im not trying to argue. I wish I did have some proof but i dont, and thats why im still on the fence. The only reason i would buy them is because someone has to find out if they work or not and 600 for me wont break the bank.

It seems that everyone who has bought them or had the money to THROW at them has been rather happy with the outcome, I know of one personally. Granted they are a high dollar mod. And yes that money could be spent else where but to each his own.

Price is dropping have seen them as low as 480.00 now still a chunk.

Lets here some feedback from actual owners of them.

Ok, and I am not trying to be a pain, all I am saying is if you want to spend the $600 for them, that's fine, but the gain you receive from them, if any, will be slim. If something is working fine and doing a good job, like the stock coils, why spend that money on these. Have a good one guys

Then you are exactly the person who they were made for!

I would NEVER invest in them. TONS of people have reported that the truck coils have a stronger spark, wonder why nobody spends a few bux and upgrades to those? Maby because the stockers kick ***?
