Default Coolant change?

I think im going to change my coolant. This will be easy won't it? Should I go ahead and change to a 160 degree thermostate also? Is it worth me doing? Thanks

Changing the coolant is easier than changing the oil. The 160 thermostat will help the engine run a little better (cooler) but you will also have to do some tuning to prevent codes to pop up. This can be taken care of with a hand held tuner (like the predator sport tuner).

Going to have to disagree with this whole response. What codes pop up by changing to a 160 degree thermo?? Also, the 160 thermo will not make the motor run much cooler, you have to change the fan settings for that to happen. Lastly, changing coolant is NEVER and I repeat NEVER easier than changing oil. First of all, unless you have a the right equipment to suck all the coolant out, you'll never get it all out by simply draining the radiator. Secondly, there is always a good chance of getting air into the system unless you refill it correctly.

The whole reason the tuner is recomended when you change the thermo is to change the fan settings, therefore helping the engine run cooler. I suppose everything is easier wit the right equiptment.

I finished it a bit ago. Did the coolant and the 160 thermostate. Both were easy to do. No problem's at all. I just followed install univeristy how they did it.
