Default Lm & Headers sound

I know most people say that the LM with an ory andh eaders sounds like ****. What about an Lm with headers and a catted y?

That is exactly the same setup I got and I love it. Sounds great, its loud but to me personally the LM with the catted Y is not that loud. Sounds tough.

Well personally I like the sound of the LM. And out of all of the clips available on LS1sounds (I have d/l all of them, lol) there's only one LM clip that I think sounds not so good. I know in person it might be different. But still.

If you don't like the sound of it once you have the LT's and Y pipe on there, it gives you two choices:
-use an alternative muffler in the LM
-get a new catback

But hay they are the same choices that you have before you get the LT's and Y pipe.

Best bet just try it an see.

Pacesetter LTs + Custome Y-pipe with cat and the Loudmouth here. Sounds freakin great at 3k+ and just about the same volume at idle. However it gave it a much richer sound once I added the LTs.

I have that setup with TTS headers and their cats. It has a nice deep sound at idle and cruise, and wails like a banshee at WOT and going down the track. Really doesn't sound raspy at all IMHO. I'm actually about to have some off road pipes fabbed up to put in place of the cats at the track, I imagine its going to be quite a bit louder, and most say expect a good bit of raspiness.
