Usually there is no banging...if there is you just got to go in and adjust it basically.

Mine was banging under the seat/knee area. I had a local shop guy get a 6" - 8" hose and pop rivet it to the floor board. So, the exhaust could move freely and not bang on the metal floor board. Worked like a champ!

I just got some installed and the y does bang the floor. I'm going to go to an exhaust shop and get them to bend the pipe to fit the dip in the floorboard. Thats what everyone tells me to do. It worked for them.

Poly motor mounts cured mine... I think if you tried to weld a support bar from the y-pipe to the body, you would get alot of vibration from the pipe.

Take a 4" angle grinder and cut out the part of the floorpan that's in your way. It took me a little while to get it right, but my pipe now has good clearance. My Kooks setup tucks way too well.

I just put the mufflex hanger on my car and it didnt work, I am going to try to loosen the header up a bit and put something in between the floor and y and keep the mufflex hanger that way it wont bump and any vibrations should be minimal

Im going to weld a valvespring between the ypipe and floor, or crossmember. My pacesetter y banged horribly, a poly tranny mount and some radiator hose helped, but its not gone.

How is a poly tranny mount supposed to stop the engine from rocking? The real problem here are the soft rubber factory motor mounts. Replace the drivers side and your done with it. I've been this route. Take it to an exaust shop and get underneath and look for the tights spots and adjust accordingly but you'll need to swap motor mounts to stop the banging. Anything else is just a bandaid and isnt solving the problem. Welding valve spring?!? wtf, Please fix it right.

A valvespring will work just fine until I switch to true duals.
