Default Stock y-pipe diameter

I just got my borla cat back and dont think I can wait to save for the LT's, y-pipe, cats ,and etc. So Im wondering if I can bolt the 3in. intermediate pipe to the stock y pipe. Whats the diameter of the stock y. Thanks in advance.
