Spark Plug Indexing / Pencil Torching
Has anyone ever done this? Does it really work? Looks very sketchy to me personally. Far too great a margin of possible error and the possibility to leave hotspots everywhere causing detonation.
22% increase in torque and similar gains in fuel economy? Not sure about that one!

At any rate, I also like the idea of the indexing as mentioned. Seems like something the guys in the pure stock muscle car drags would do to extract that extra bit of power from a nearly stock mill!

Indexing involves marking and "indexing" a spark plug so that the spark is open to the fuel/air mix in the combustion chamber...might be worth it on a top fuel car...but not on a street car...it's a real pain to do if you ask me.
