Possible to repair ls6 composite intakes?
Title prettymuch says it all. Is it possible to repair the ls6 intakes, such as re-attaching pieces, filling holes, etc? Or does the composite material prevent it?

I used a two part plastic weld/epoxy, and I have used JB Weld. The plastic weld seems to work a little better of the two. I had to use it to reattach the MAP fitting in the rear, and also to plug the EGR tube hole on a used LS6 Intake.

The vacuum connecton on mine got broke in shipping when someone dropped the intake on its end so I got a good deal on it (75 dollars). I used JB weld and thought that all was ok, but after about 2500 miles all the heat cycling made it start leaking and it finally came apart. I ended up getting a FAST 90 setup.
I'm going to try to fix it by cutting that section out and attaching a homemade plastic piece with silicone (RTV). I hope that the silicone with give a little better than the JB and keep it secured.

My LS6 intake had a few pinholes in it in the back, it was rumored to be a pre-production piece that I got back in 2000. It's been repaired and I have been boosting 18-21 psi through it.
I plan it to sell it pretty soon. I thought it was JB welded.

I would analyze what material is utilized something to the effect of a dual adhesive is best for scoping various issues I had to return a similar unit some time ago and was not happy with the fact of it not holding up to heat stress.
