Any problems with the lid cracking after running the Fernco for awhile?

Some people have had their lid crack with the fernco...but its not a common problem or anything. Its just an appearance mod - stick with the stock bellow if you are worried about it.

Stock one works pretty good and it doesn't break other parts

It's not worth the time and effort, and makes pulling the filter a little harder. Definatly a NO-NO with a clear lid, as they are even MORE prone to cracking.

It's 3" in/out, and its 4" long. Fernco part number is 1056-33. And here's a picture of it, you can see it in the background

LOL! so basically you are saying **** it?
I have a fernco but I trimmed it and used a hair dryer to make it fit. It was bothering me that it didnt go flush against the MAF at first. now it does.

Is the 3x3 Fernco big enough to fit a 90mm TB and 85mm MAF?

I tried to get a Fernco Sunday doing my 90/90 install. The 4x4 was too big, they didn't have a 3x3 in stock, the 4x3 looked like it was a hair big for the TB (4" end) but not near as oversized as the 4x4.

You could just try a nice piece of silicone hose from someone like High Temp Silicone instead of trying to make something work that wasn't meant to be used on a car.
