Default offroad headers

I know what the difference is between an offroad Y and not, but whats the difference between an offroad header and a regular one?

One has emissions fittings, the other doesnt. (ie. egr, air, etc)

Never heard of offroad headers but "race style" headers do not have emissions hookups. I assume that what you mean.

Offroad header is the same as race style header off-road meaning it is not emissions legal same as an off-road Y-pipe is not emissions legal because it has no cats

yeah, i would recommend just scraping all the emissions crap now and getting race style headers, especially if you plan on doing further mods later (like a ls6 intake which doesn't use EGR anyway so a header with EGR would be pointless if you plan on doing LS6 intake later)

You will have a check engine light. Diadvantages...looking at the light all the time!! AIR, EGR and rear O2 lights shouldn't affect driveability.

You should be able to get it tuned out by a local performance shop for a small charge. Or find someone locally the has LS1edit or HPtuner and have them delete them.
