Question tq arm and x-pipe question

quick question:
Will this UMI Performance Tunnel Braced Mounted Torque Arm and
Texas Speed Rumbler X True Duals with sweet thunders have any interference or conflict? I am thinking about both but want to make sure they will work ok.

Thanks
John

Nope. Not enough room. I have the same T/A, even if you could get it on, clearance would be terrible.

Any torque arm should work as long as it mounts in the stock mounting location. The BMR crossmember and torque arms work well with our True Dual System. If ya'll have any more questions give me a pm.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have bought the T/A that TSP said. It would make things alot easier and functions the close to the same.

Thanks Zach, I'll be in the market for a torque arm when the tax return comes back.

Not exactly...

Zach: The BMR crossmember and torque arms work well with our True Dual System.
I think it's just a suggestion for folks on the fence who still haven't picked a TA, but also like the X-pipe...

...pardon me for buttin' in, if I got it wrong. I was interested, because I like the X-pipe and haven't picked a TA. I'm looking for a tunnel-braced unit that would tie to 3-pt SFC's (rag top), instead of loading just the floor pan.

Hello,

Basically what everyone is trying to say is if you want to run a TSP True Dual system (X-Pipe) a tunnel brace mounted torque arm will NOT clear it. You then have have a few options....first is buy the torque arm and have a true dual exhaust system built around it..this is the best way to do it. This is what needs to be done if you really want and need a tunnel mounted set-up otherwise you have to go back to a y-pipe set-up. The other option is stick with a transmission mounted torque arm which isn't a bad thing at all. We recommend a tunnel mounted arm on vehicles running 10.50's and faster in the 1/4, even faster is ok in most cases but that is what we recommend.

If you take a look at the installation pictures in the link below it shows our transmission mounted torque arm installed with the TSP true dual system and clears excellent. This arm is very inexpensive at $289.99 as well.

If I can help as well please ask. Thanks
Ryan

You rbest option if you want to run the TSP stuff, is to switch your Trans X-member to a yank or BMR that moves the TA mount to the X-member and purchase a stock style aftermarket TA like Random Technology offers.
