Default Suncoast set-up to lid swap?

I have a Suncoast SS hood and air box, but still have the modified radiator support, filter and SLP FRA minus the lid for my car. I took the FRA off originally b/c it took in a bunch of water and I lost the engine. I was thinking of going back to the FRA with a lid and making some sort of block off for wet weather. My question is; Is it worth it to buy another lid to make the swap? I'm seeing IAT's of around 113* at the track in July and August and The quarter mile is over before they come down at all with the current set-up. I figure the FRA will reduce IAT's faster. Any suggestions or comments?

Default

It's been a long time since anyone has compared the 2 setups. From what I remember the lid set up was a little better.
