I said the same thing at first...but really it can be done by yourself really fast. Just feed it in then go under the car and feel where it goes in at. Then just feed it in by hand. Make sure it goes in good - give it a good push from the top to make sure it is in all the way.

Do you have to remove the starter to give the friend underneath the access?

I don't remember it being bad. Feed it around where it needs to go, get underneath and shove it in. I then pushed it in from the top. Took 5 minutes.

Definitely need a friend! I agree with magius231, though, it's much MUCH easier than an LT1!

I put a little bit of grease around the 2 that i've done to help it slip back in. Be careful!

The first time i ever tried to remove mine from the car, the tip of it broke off inside the block. After about 3 days of cursing, i finally got it out. I could have pulled the motor TWICE in the time i spent trying to get that bastard out.
