Default DIY Coil pack relocation??

Has anyone tried something similar to this ?

http://www.ls1camaro.net/sections.ph...ticle&artid=68

It looks easy enough to make the actual brackets, but first of all I dont really like where they are mounted, is there a better place / way to mount them?

Secondly what do you do for plug wires ? I have looked around and it seems like LT1 wires would probably do the trick ?

I have searched and didnt find too much, so if anyone has any DIY coil pack relocations lets hear more about it and some pics would be awesome too

From what I know there isn't a kit for this length of wire, however it looks like the thing lifts it up and over to the side of it,, along with securing the connections.

I made my own wires and brackets. I used Taylor 8mm with LT1 teminal kit that you crimp on. The LT1 teminals plug into the coil end.

Thunder Racing sells a coil relocation kit:

Looks decent, but haven't heard any reviews about it.

I cant justify 200$ on the thunder racing kit, I'm sure its great, but I think its dumb to spend that much on a bracket and some plug wires.

I need plug wires anyway so I figured I might as well try to do something with the coil packs

I made my own brackets and am waiting to mount them, so I will let you know what I end up doing for wires.

I want to do mine kinda like I saw in a picture of an ARE built car one time. They moved the coils to where the ABS module and AC evaporator were. I'm sure that you could just get some cut-to-length wire and make this work. I plan to do this when I do my ABS delete. I'll take some pics and do a writeup.

I made my own relo brackets a couple of years back. Mine are where ABS module and AC evap werre. I've been using a set of MSD 8.5mm LT1 wires ever since with no problems.
