Default Same price go with FAST 78mm or LS6?

I have a 98 and may have a line on an inexpensive used FAST 78mm for about the same price as a LS6 intake. I also have a TNT kit so to 90mm would get a little crazy for my "Budget" setup. I plan on running 230ish duration XER cam and some heads later.

So if you could pay the same for a FAST or an LS6 which would be the better choice? Anyone go from an LS6 to a 78 fast and gain anything??

Definatly go with the FAST if they are the same price. It's easier to port the FAST, and I can't imagine it would flow less than the LS6...

from what i understand the 78mm only flows a touch better then the LS6. but let some others chime in on it because i might be wrong. but better is better so if its the same price go with the fast.

I just read a port about a test done between an ls6 intake and the 79mm intake and the horsepower was 11hp more with the fast 78mm

Get the FAST 78mm intake now, and when you get ready to upgrade all you have to do is buy the FAST 90mm top shell. You will see a gain with the FAST 78mm intake over the LS6 intake.

I don't think anyone would tell you to get the LS6 over the FAST, if anything the FAST flows better, there is no way an LS6 will flow equal or better to the FAST
