Default Quick question on fernco smooth bellow

Im in the proccess of making my fernco fit an old throtle body and am confused on were to cut. Do i just cut a 1/4" ALL the way AROUND the tubing so its making it a 1/4" shorter or do i cut it so its angled on one end. Thanks for the help.

which ever fits best for you, 1/4 the whole way around should be fine.

most do it halfway around - there's a writeup in the "bellows" section of the induction sticky at the top of this forum

Toss the fernco, go to Lowes and get their version of the fernco, its flexible.

Better yet, forget the entire idea of a "smooth bellows" it doesn't help anything and its a huge waste of time and money.

You gotta be careful about cracking your lid. I got a fernco sitting in my room but I like my mti clear lid to much. I recently installed poly motor mounts so I would probably be ok but dont want to risk it.

Ya i got poly mounts sitting here in the box, im just waiting to get my headers to do them. I dont know i had it on there last night but was haveing a little problems with it lining up and I DO NOT want to crack my lid so we'll see if i stick with it or not.
