Default Flexplate and starter

Will an LS1 accept a reg SBC flexplate if the conv has normal bolt patterns?
Does it take a special starter or will a reg sbc work?
Thanks
John

you have to use a LS1 starter. i holes are angled angled just enough that a regular SBC starter wont work. as for the flexplate, LS1 flexplate is needed also. The bolt pattern is smaller on an LS1 i beleive and the flywheel is unweighted.
