Default What's the best bullet style muffler?

I've got FLP LT's and FLP cats and i wanna ditch the cats but i dont want the car to be extemely loud and raspy as hell, so i wanna put some bullet mufflers in place of the cats. I know some people have spiral flows, i know one guy said he like the twisted _______ mufflers, i cant remember the whole name. I just want one that isn't too huge and cuts down noise without changing the sound of your exhaust too much.

If your looking for a more affordable muffler, lots of people use Dynomax Bullet mufflers Model #24222.

Another popular but more expensive one is the Borla XR1 model #40085.
Some people have had clearance probs but doesn't seem like anything major.

www.ls1sounds.com has some nice clips of all these mufflers including others.

Alot of people (if your running a traditional style catback and not True Duals) run a single bullet style muffler in the rear portion of the Y pipe just before the axle or so.That way you don't have to run two of them.If your just running out the Y pipe then yeah,I would see why you are going to run two mufflers..

Dynomax Bullet
Borla XR1 Stainless steel
Flo Pro twisters
Sweet Thunders
Edelbrock 304SS
All seem to get good reviews...

Good luck!

Moroso spiral flows available from Jeg's. Fits well in tight places, cuts noise while maintaining a nice deep tone.
