gains from a cutout or cutouts...
i just got my LT's and Y pipe today and i am curious about the gains possible from a cutout or dual cutouts. my exhaust set up after saturday will be as follows
pacesetter longtubes
pacesetter offroad y
slp loudmouth w/ miroso spiraltech muffler
would it be beneficial to get a cutout to run after the collecter?
thanks

IMO it's not worth it on a good exhust the muffler will flow as well as the tubing, so it won't actually be a restriction. Thus by-passing the muffler will gain little.
At your power level 3" Y pipe is fine, so I personally would prefer to have the ability of scavenging (What the Y pipe does) over running twin cutouts.

I was running SLP long tubes, no cats, and B&B triflow with a cutout and I consistantly got an extra 1-2 mph and .1 -.2 in the 1/4 mile with the cutout open. My catback must have been choking the exhaust.
