Default FRA with SLP HO Hood, do it or not?

Well i have the slp ho hood and it has the functional ram effect through an mti clear lid. I have a k&n filter but I believe the air box is not cut.

Is there a point in cutting the box if i have this hood with the nostrils for induction, or is it best to just leave it alone?
