Default I want a catback that is quiet..

I was thinking magnaflow. I also want to put on the electric cutout which I already have. Any suggestions on catback? My stock is making funny noises(i was told it was from speedbumps by the dealership) I want it pretty quiet and docile w/ the cutout closed but a little more free flowing.

SLP dual dual is what you are looking for.

I have it and love it. Super quiet at idle but sounds nice at WOT.

Well I have the SLP options and I have the 2.75" pipe back to the CME exhaust. I do like the sound but I was hoping to get a little more flow before the muffler because that flattened hanging pipe under the driver side doesn't look to helpful.

2 of the quieter catbacks are the hooker, and the SLP dual dual, they both are freer flowing than the stock one, and are pretty quiet
If you haven't, try www.ls1sounds.com that'll give you an idea of what each sounds like

When I had stock exhaust and added the magna flow it was pretty much the same sound at idle but at WOT it sounded great. It sounds even better with headers!

Does the stock exhaust (i'm pretty sure I have the dual/dual w/ my CME) flow well enough to have a 224/224 cam and still make good power? (I will have the cutout to unleash it)

If you optioned the CME you allready have the SLP Dual Dual muffler. I went thru 3 DD mufflers. They would blow out all the ceramic packing material inside and would start resonating and droning horribly. I recently had a Hooker Aerochamber muffler welded into my CME setup and it's pretty sweet. Nice and mellow but still roars at WOT. You can find them new on Ebay for $80 shipped and they flow very well.

PS I would pick up around 7 rwhp with my open QTEC over my old Dual Dual.

Ok so how would I go about replacing the piping from the cats up to the muffler? Or would I have to buy the whole catback?

Well a cat-back is just that, system is from the CATS back. Are you keeping your cats or are you cutting them off? If you are cutting them you def dont want Magnaflow, it loud w/o cats. I had it on my SS. It sounds good as hell and I loved it, just you want it quiet. SLP DD will be the quietest IMO. If you want Magnaflow I still have mine I will sell you. Its the muffler only. PM if you want it. It has only 200 miles on it.

Ok, last order of business

Will my stock SLP D/D flow as well as the 3" pipe that goes from the cats back to the muffler? And does my stock muffler restrict the exhaust a lot? I do love the sound I just wanna make sure my baby can breath. I am doing a cam install soon...
