You're kidding right! Your stock one is the same one, that comes on a standard Z28/SS Camaro. You'll like the SLP one much better.

Does your stock one say "SLP" in big white letters across it? I didn't think so.... Then the new one will be better!

My friend has an SS with the 345hp slp edition, the airbox is the same as on my Z!

Thumbs up

I Have The Slp On My T/a And It Works Great. You May Have To Cut A Little Tap On The Side Where You Put It In The Throttle Bodie.

You will lose those stock baffles or whatever they are that go with the stock lid. I think it looks much better with the aftermarket lid vs. stock, not to mention performs better.

the 345 hp option was just the slp dual/dual exhaust. some cars had the slp lid with no letters on it but it said slp on it. you'll gain some hp and hear more air sucking in. get a smooth bellow while your at it. there cheap on ebay

I thought the on that came with the 345 hp option was the blackwing air lid witch is better than stock. But I think its about the same performace as SLP air lid. If I remeber correctly I saw it on a 02 SS that had the same option. I check SLP website but could not find it.

Yes, the 345 hp option had the blackwing lid. If you have it, keep it, it's the best lid out there... If you heart set on getting an aftermarket lid, sell me your blackwing...
