Default !AIR part question

on the top of the engine all the way back on the drivers side theres a part thats connected to the AIR, it has a wire coming out of the top as well as one coming off the side and looks to be bolted down to either the intake or valve cover, any idea what it is, just take it off with the rest of the AIR or leave it on?
