Default Help with spark plug wire and texas speed catted y pipe!

My friend and i recently put a set of pacesetter lts on his 00 z but its hard for me to get my hand in by the, i believe its, #6 plug (3rd plug back on passenger side) and get the boot on the plug all the way. Has anyone ever had this problem and does anyone know and tricks to getting the job done? Also, what have those of you out there with texas speeds catted y-pipe done? Gone over the cross member or under, and what did you do to make it work out right? any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Take off the AIR pipe (2 bolts @ the header), move it out of the way, and you should be able to pop the wire on.

No I meant the air (not A/C)
You might try some dielectric grease on the boot, makes it a little easier to get the boot on (get it at the parts store .99 for a packet of it, usually sold at the front counter)

two options to try.

stand in front of the passanger head light. reach in with your right hand, palm facing driver side. put your index finger on the front side of the wire and you bird finger on the back side of the wire and push on the boot with those two fingers.

stand on the passanger side of the car even with the tire. insert left hand, palm facing driver side. index finger on the back side of wire. bird finger on the front side of wire. push on the boot.

i had more problems putting the wire back on the coil pack then on the spark plug, lol. i have big arms.

the #4 plug wire is real PITA
