Default What Is The Difference In Gto And Ls1 Intake

If the GTO intake will fit what else do you need to make it work and if not why won't it work? I have been wondering this for a while and haven't gotten any kind of answer. Thank you for any help.

Depends on the year. LS2 goat 90mm intakes won't work due to different head port design, if I recall correctly. LS1-era goat intakes are a direct swap.

04 GTO = LS6 intake
05+ GTO = LS2 90mm intake

As mentioned, the 90mm intake will fit (and you then need a 90mm TB) but flows no better than the LS6 intake unless you got big cubes and/or a big cam.

Would the LS2 intake and a 90mm tb be a cheaper/equal performing setup than a Fast 90/90?

FAST > LS6 intake > LS2 intake.

It's been tested and proven.

NO
LS1 intake manifolds were put on anything starting in 2001. 2001 - 2004 had LS6 intakes, no matter what car or what motor. 2005----> has either LS2 or LS7 (only on C6 z06).
