Default Least Raspy true dual mufflers??

Okay I have the spiral type bullet mufflers in my true dual system and it is very raspy on decel. Anyone else had this problem and fixed it with different mufflers? Thanks. BTW mine dump before the axle.

You got a sound clip? I've never heard an fbody dual setup that has any rasp.

I don't think it's rasp you are hearing I think it's the spiralflow/twister flutter. Most manuals I have ever heard have this. Sounds good when the rpms are going up, but when you clutch to shift or use the gears to slow down you get a fluttering sound which is way different than rasp. I will look for a video that would demonstrate the sound for you and see if that's it.

I couldn't find a link to post them for you, but if you go to http://www.ls1sounds.com/true_duals.htm they have some sound clips/videos of the Flo-Pro Twisters and Spiralflow's check those out and see if that's the sound you are hearing reving, shifting, etc...

i just installed a 3 inch true dual with an x pipe and "force automovie mufflers" sold from summit. they have almost no rasp, just a very deep growl. it sounds very good in both up and down rpms..

01RedT/A, could you post up some pics or a sound clip of your getup? I almost got those mufflers, but didn't know anything about them.

The mufflers 01RedT/A is talking about are full size mufflers not the bullet style. Here is a link to the different sizes and prices. http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...711+115+400359

You will have to pound in the rear seat bucket area like I did to fit the Magnaflo 4x9's.

You can kinda see it in this pic.

Borla XR-1s are the best sounding 1 chamber muffler out there and fit pretty nice as well. I have them in the standard style and they offer them in the bullet but they don't sound quite the same.

I'd say that the Magnaflows or the Flowmasters (just not the 80-series, please) have the least rasp and the smoothest tone.

I have had them for almost 2 years now that I think about it. I don't really know if they have burned out or not, but they seem to be louder now and sometimes I can hear a little rasp that wasn't there when they were first put on
