Default Texas speed & Performance - Y pipe

I recently purchased pacesetter lt and tsp 3in y pipe. I just wanted it to be know that the y pipe didn’t slide together. Some pieces didn’t get expanded enough. This was not a big deal I just got the local muffler shop to fix it. If you are looking into buying that y pipe be aware it may or may not fit. Other than that I am very pleased with Texas speed and their fast shipping.

Yeah, I was meaning to ask about the TSP Y-pipe. Is it better than Pacesetter's? Because I know Pacesetter's can be crap at times.

Its a hit and miss I guess with the TSP Y. Some people come on here and totally bitch about it while other like me love it. It was a bit of a pain to get just right, but once I was perfect I had no banging or anything like that.

Same experience here. Just takes a bit of tweaking.

About a month ago I put on the pacesetter LT and ORY from speed inc... they bolted right up in the garage. I was just about counting on having to go to a muffler shop, but they slid together just right. They may have improved their design... or maybe I got lucky who knows.

i had to file down some of the edges on the inside to slide over other parts.. and the bottom part of the y looked to be about 2.5 inches so that needed to be expanded.. i also had a portion of the pipe bent looking like an oval that needed to be pounded out.. but hey its cheap.. i think they make it like that to push their true dual kit haha

After I got my muffler shop to expand the pipes some more it still didnt fit very good. The drivers side sags very low so I guess I'm going to do what i should have done in the first place.......... take it to the muffler shop and let them put it on. Sometimes it just don't pay to do it yourself.

Spooked me I went out in the garage and tinkered around with mine. *still in the box till monday week* Seems the parts went together fine. Maybe IM lucky (

When I peeked on the inside of the actual y-pipe peice, I noticed where they cut and welded the pipes together there is alot of ugly looking jagged flash ont he inside.. doesnt look smooth at all. Anyone elses look the same or should it matter? Seems awfully turbulent to me hehe prolly wouldnt notice the difference, almost wished i hadnt looked
