There's pics/info from people that have done 3" all the way back, so it can be done. It's not easy, and it's definitely not cheap....but it's possible. Doing 2.5" is easier though and unless you're pushing over 500hp it's sufficient. And like said above you'll probably need the phb relocation kit if you run them both over the passenger side.

Dont listen to people when they say that 2.5" duals are only good up to a certain HP. They are good for up to a lot more power than you will probably make.

I never said they were only good up to a certain horsepower. I said unless you're planning on pushing over 500hp (guess I should have said "well over" 500hp, and I'm talking rwhp, not flywheel) that 2.5" duals will be sufficient. Hell, I've got 2.5" duals and will be making WELL north of 550rwhp on the bottle. I'm not worried about my exhaust restricting me.

I have true duals going over the axle and I did not have to have an adjustable panhard rod nor a relocation braket. That is silly. If the dual exhaust system is designed properly, both of the 2 1/2 inch pipes will go over the axle without any frame or suspension modifications. We designed and built an over the axle dual exhaust system for the forth generation F-Body cars several years ago with the idea of selling them through mail order. But we never offered it. Our dual exhaust system can be adopted to be used with stock manifolds and catalytic converters, short or long headers or just about any other configuration you might come up with. Maybe we should offer our "complete" dual exhaust system to all you F-Body car guys through mail order. Our dual exhaust system was designed to be the perfect exhaust system for the forth generation F-Body.

Check the link in my sig.
Under the axle is a great alternative. I have absolutly ZERO problems with mine, plus I think it looks kinda cool from behind having the pipes come from beside the chunk and turning up.
That thread has all the information/videos/pictures/$ figures involved with my system. Pages 2 and 3 have more pics.
