Default Magnaflow Owners Please Come In

I have the magnaflow catback also and my question is to those of you that have ground effects. Did any of you have the same problem that I did in the back of the car where the exhaust tips are? My exhaust tip openings are 1/4 covered by the ground effects. If any of you had the same problem what did you do?

I dont have the ground effects but I know that the tips are very adjustable on that system. You should be able to adjust them up to a vairable of at least an inch or two.

Mine were really close to my bumber...no effects either. I could of pointed them down lower but it would look like ****.

I know its possible cause I have seen pics of what you are talking about, from what I remeber they had it pointed down quite a bit...it looked alright though.

I dont know how anyone can adjust it any other way. The way the system fits together,it just wont allow me to tilt the mufler to be able to tilt the tips down. But seriously, the tips are blocked off like 1/4. i'm actually thinking about taking a dremel tool and carving out the effects. But i dont know cause i dont wanna **** it up.lol.
I know its a stupid and small problem; I'm just curious if anyone else came up with something for this.
Thanks for the replies.

Lossen the clamps where the tips go into the muffler. Then just move them where the need to be. Then Tighten clamps back up. Simple.

it doesnt adjust like that. the hangers will not allow it.if i did it like you sugjest i wouldnt be able to use the hangers for the tips. cant even tilt the mufler a little; the over axle pipe stops that from happening. do you have ground effects in the back of your car?

What you could try: stick a shovel end in the pipe and bend it towards the way. Hope this helps a little bit picture, it worked for me on this system.

try taking the hangers off, adding some strap steel between the new brackets they gave you and the unibody rail, you most likely will need longer bolts, but that should work.

yeah, i'm about to go that route with something like that. i didnt want to have to go that far but if i want it different i'll have to. people seem to think i can just loosen up the clamps and adjust it;but the system just will not allow it. thanks for the feedback
