I just took my 3" off, and put a 2 1/2" header collector on the rear part of the I-pipe so I'd have some more ground clearance, and a straighter shot for the exhaust to go out the rear, instead of trying to angle out the side.

thanks...one other thing, everyone has said how loud they it will be, but alot of these guys have different headers. ive got stock ones and yes ive been on ls1sounds, theres only like 1 or 2 guys with stock headers and a cutout, they sound ok but its hard to really hear it, so is it going to be that loud or is it just everyone got different headers which make the difference? doesnt really matter to me, id just like to know. and how many chambers is the stock muffler?

Stock muffler is trash.

It will be loud. If you have cats it wont be as bad. But it will be loud. Definitions on loud are construed different ways.

yea i figured "loud" would confuse people but theres really no other way to say it, i dont see many people around here getting pulled for exhaust, its usually for the music, so im not that worried. i figured they were trash, im wondering if it will be comparable to my truck, its got a flowmaster with duals, sounds really good for a v-6
